Balboa Gifted Magnet is home to one of the deepest teaching staffs in elementary education. Our teachers bring unparalleled passion, energy, and commitment to their profession through constantly fine-tuning their craft and inspiring one another to bring new and creative ideas into the classroom. While every teacher of gifted students in the LAUSD must complete a required number of hours specifically geared towards gifted education, many of Balboa’s teachers have earned National Board Certifications, Masters degrees, or specialized certifications in Gifted Education. From the most seasoned to the newly trained, Balboa’s teachers give their best every day so that each student can be successful and reach his/her academic potential.
